Formation: Use of great swords, axes, and other weapons that require a lot of space prevents the troops from fighting in close formation; they usually stick to relaxed formation. Darius Wintersun has two heroes (unit commanders) and two relays (one musician, one standard bearer).


The Tempest Guard are an independent mercenary group operating out of Icehome. Led by Darius Wintersun, the core members are survivors of the air boat Tempest, from which their name originates.

Currently twenty members strong they typically deploy as four fangs, two focused on melee and each supported by a single archer unit. When needed, they can be organized into two larger groups or even a single scale.
